Complimenti!

Madonna di Campiglio - Trentino A. Adige

Madonna di Campiglio - Trentino A. Adige

Madonna di Campiglio, a discreet and elegant town nestling at an altitude of 1550 metres in the stupendous valley between the Brenta Dolomites and the glaciers of Adamello and Presanella, is today most certainly Italy’s number one ski resort as well as one of the most important resorts in the Alps.

The variety of its mountain surroundings mean that in winter it is possible to ski over countless kilometres of runs, up to an altitude of 2600 metres and with different degrees of difficulty.

What’s more, you can set out from the centre of the town and return there without ever removing your skis.

Today the Ski Area can boast 57 lifts and 150 km of ski runs, with a capacity of more than 31,000 people per hour, 50,000 sq m of snow park, 40 km for Nordic skiing and the link up to the pistes to Pinzolo, Folgarida and Marilleva.

Madonna di Campiglio is famous for its high life, but just a short way out of town you will find a round of lakes, valleys, streams, malghe (alpine shepherds’ huts) and refuges

The fifty thousand hectares of the Adamello-Brenta Natural Park, together with four hundred and fifty km of mountain paths offer incredible opportunities for those wishing to walk or mountain bike through the cool fir woods and enchanting larch forests.

Sports & Nature

Sports & NatureThe natural landscape and the great outdoors of the Trentino region are ideal terrain for spending active holidays, making plenty of unforgettable experiences in an area that has no equal. Mountaineering, hiking, windsurf, snowboard and ski are only some of the most popular leisure activities. But that’s far from being all.

NightlifeThe bars, pubs and discotheques of the Trentino warmly welcome you. These are our tips for your entertainment. Being in good company, having some niblets, drinking good wine, having a glass of refreshing beer or an aperitif

Culture and history

Culture and historyThe Trentino has got a wide variety of typical gastronomical products to offer, holidays in this area are so to speak a real treat for your palate. Typical for the Trentino are e.g. several wines or the Grappe, also popular on an international level. Apple cultivation areas, however, are particularly the Val di Non, Val d’Adige, the Alto Garda and the Valsugana.

A traditional art is the production of alpine cheese prepared on the basis of original recipes. The most popular types of cheese of the Trentino are the Trentingrana, Spressa delle Giudicarie and the Vezzena. Equally popular are the sausage products such as the Carne Salada, the Ciuga del Banale and the Mortadela of the Val di Non. Another crucial element in the cuisine is polenta, which can be cooked in many different ways. Experience the delicacies of the Trentino!
